WATCH THE VIDEO HERE THE Chief Judge (CJ) of the Federal High Court, Justice John Tsoho, has approved the immediate redeployment of five judges across different divisions of the court. This development was announced in a statement issued by Catherine Christopher, Director of Information at the Federal High Court. According to the statement, the judicial reshuffling affects the following judges: Justice M. Umar moves from the Enugu Division to Abuja, Justice Tijjani Ringim transfers from Gombe to the Yola Division, Justice M. Segun-Bello shifts from Abakaliki to the Enugu Division, Justice Bala Usman is redeployed from Yola to Awka and Justice Amina Mohammed is reassigned from Awka to the Gombe Division. The court emphasized that these changes take immediate effect. The affected judges have been instructed to expedite the delivery of all pending judgments at their current stations before transitioning fully to their new posts. Additionally, until further notice, resident judges in the Abakaliki and Katsina Divisions are to take over all existing and newly filed cases within their jurisdictions. The statement also clarified that all matters previously assigned to Court No. 5 in the Abuja Judicial Division will now be handled by the newly posted judge to that court. Litigants and legal practitioners have been advised that there is no need to submit applications for reassignment.
