For Apomu children, May 27 was another occasion to gather at the Palace of Oba Kayode Adenekan Afolabi, the Alapomu of Apomu.They turned out in large numbers to celebrate this year’s Children’s Day.
The children came from different public and private schools.Out of school children were not left out..
In her welcome address Olori Janet Afolabi,Queen of Apomu Kingdom said ” This is a special day dedicated to our children. We celebrate the potentials of these children. We know the importance of nurturing their talents and providing opportunities for their growth “

Olori Janet Afolabi also called on parents, teachers and community leaders to contribute to the collective effort of creating a brighter future for the children.
To make the celebration memorable for the children, various activities were organised for them to take participate in and showcase their talents.Trophies were given to winners.
Teachers, parents , Alapomu Palace Chiefs, Women Leaders were among those who attended the event.
