Nollywood actress, Doris Ogala has been released from police custody after spending two days in detention.
Ogala was freed on Monday, following her arrest on Saturday evening.
NAIJAONPOINT reports that she was taken into custody after she publicly called out Lagos-based pastor Chris Okafor on social media, accusing him of deceiving her with a promise of marriage, among other allegations.
Her arrest triggered widespread reactions online, with several Nigerians and social media personalities— including VeryDarkMan— calling for her immediate release.
Reacting to her freedom, Ogala took to her Instagram page on Monday afternoon to express gratitude to human rights activist and politician Omoyele Sowore, as well as VeryDarkMan, for their interventions.
In a brief post, she wrote, “Thank you Sowore. Thanks so much to my ratel king.”
