Christian Genocide: You Cannot Dictate Our Foreign Policy To Us – American Lawmaker Replies China

Riley Moore 20230308

A United States Congressman Rep. Riley M. Moore has reacted to China’s warning on the threatened military strike in Nigeria over alleged Christian genocide.

Naijaonpoint reports that China, on Tuesday, had warned against foreign interference in Nigeria’s internal affairs following President Donald Trump recent threat.

Trump, who designated Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern over the alleged persecution of Christians, had threatened possible military action.

However, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Mao Ning, in a statement on Tuesday, said the nation remains firmly opposed to the use of religion or human rights as a pretext to meddle in the domestic affairs of sovereign nations.

Ning said, “As Nigeria’s comprehensive strategic partner, China firmly opposes any country using religion and human rights as an excuse to interfere in other countries’ internal affairs, and threatening other countries with sanctions and force”.

Reacting to China’s position, Rep. Moore, in a post on his official 𝕏 handle, said China cannot not dictate U.S. foreign policy.

He wrote, “President Trump is absolutely right to defend our brothers and sisters in Christ who are suffering horrific persecution, and even martyrdom, for their faith in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

“China will not dictate our foreign policy to us, and we will not be lectured to by a Communist autocracy that recently arrested 30 Christian pastors for their faith and throws ethnic minorities in concentration camps.”
