Claressa Shields came to Kelly Price’s defense after a spirited video calling out Black women went viral.
Price, known for hits like “As We Lay,” made headlines when she addressed negative comments about her body and style choices following a recent performance in Memphis.
“Black women you are some of the most nasty, disrespectful people on God’s planet Earth. The things that you say about other Black women…find yourself,” Price said in the now-viral video, before slamming online trolls as “keyboard thugs.”
While thousands piled on with more criticism across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok, Shields jumped into the conversation to back Price up.
“She ain’t lying,” Shields declared after sharing the singer’s rant. “Y’all got so much to say about those who you think you can judge. You talk about their clothes, shoes, how they look, their size…but your life’s not together.”
“I’m glad she pointed out that it’s mostly Black women. Y’all make yourselves look so bad on [social media],” Shields continued. She then admitted her own solution wouldn’t exactly be peaceful: “I wish I could find these girls and beat they a– [because] I love fighting so much.”
