Claressa Shields is pushing back against rumors circulating online that her boyfriend, rapper Papoose, is her manager and is making millions from her success.
While on livestream, a viewer, whom she addresses as “Ricardo,” asks the boxing champion about the rumors. Shields quickly slams the rumors as “ridiculous” and says that Pap is not her manager.
“He didn’t get no money off [of] me. All this $1.6 million bulls–t y’all keep saying, stop saying it. It’s so disrespectful. It’s actually sickening. It’s actually sickening.”
Since their relationship was made public, Pap has faced allegations of mooching off his Shields, not only by her fans but by his estranged wife, Remy Ma.
Shields has consistently defended Papoose, and last year, she claimed that the pair are planning on having a baby together, despite the fact that he is still technically a married man.
“I’m gonna have a baby next year,” Shields shared at the tome. “We already had it planned out. I’m gonna have baby next year. And then after I go through my stuff, then I’ll come back and fight and fight some more, and then probably have another one and then do the same thing again.”
