Chelsea’s rising star Cole Palmer has named Eden Hazard as the one Chelsea icon he would most love to play alongside if given the choice, Soccernet.football reports.

The young forward has made a remarkable impact at Stamford Bridge since joining from Manchester City in the summer of 2023, quickly becoming a key figure for the Blues.

His impressive performances have drawn comparisons to Hazard’s influence at the club during his prime.

Speaking in a recent video for the Premier League’s YouTube channel, Palmer was asked which Chelsea legend he would most want to team up with.

His answer was clear: “Eden Hazard. Our game is different, but I try to be as exciting as Hazard.”

Palmer’s admiration for Hazard is understandable.

Hazard, who joined Chelsea in 2012 after a stellar spell at Lille, is regarded as one of the club’s all-time greats.

In his first season, he won the UEFA Europa League and followed that up with a PFA Young Player of the Year award in his second.

By the 2014-15 season, Hazard helped Chelsea win the Premier League and Football League Cup, securing individual accolades like the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year.

Hazard’s legacy continued with a second league title in 2016-17, another FA Cup in 2018, and a second Europa League triumph in 2019, where he scored twice in the final.

After making over 350 appearances and scoring 110 goals for the Blues, Hazard’s career at Chelsea ended with a high-profile transfer to Real Madrid in 2019 for a fee that could rise to €150 million.
