Columbus Short’s wife has responded to his allegations that she was abusive towards him and their 10-month-old puppy, but filed for her own restraining order, claiming that he has been beating her.
While Columbus was allegedly drinking, Aida Abramyan-Short says things escalated, claiming he snapped at her and then got physical.
According to Abramyan-Short, she was holding sheets when Columbus shouted, “Don’t slam the f–ing door b–tch. Your mouth is gonna get you in trouble! Shut the f–k up!”* She alleges he then pushed her, grabbed her, and began choking her, placing both hands around her neck.
She says a neighbor called 911 after hearing her scream, “My husband is choking me, help!”
In her request for a temporary restraining order, she submitted photos showing what she describes as injuries from previous alleged incidents over the years, including bruises, scratches, and a black eye.
The filing comes just days after her husband filed for an order of protection against her.

As MTO previously reported, on July 7, Columbus Short reportedly confronted his wife over alleged aggression toward their puppy.
The confrontation turned violent when Abramyan-Short allegedly struck Short multiple times in the face, leaving him with a cut above his eye. A neighbor called 911 after hearing the disturbance, and Aida was arrested at the scene.
Short claims this wasn’t the first incident, alleging Abramyan-Short has mistreated their dog since he brought it home on June 21, even kicking it for urinating indoors. When he tried to step in, he says she hit him with a glass trophy.
In court filings, the actor is now seeking a restraining order to keep Abramyan-Short at least 100 yards away from him and their sons, Denzel and Liam. He’s also requesting her removal from the family home.
Short also alleges a pattern of verbal and physical abuse, including threats with knives and biting. The couple has been married since 2016.
