Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade on a free transfer, with the Nigerian forward committing to a deal until June 2027, Footynaija.com reports.

The 25-year-old leaves Atletico Madrid after five years in Spain, where she won the Copa de la Reina and Supercopa de España.

At PSG, she will link up with compatriot Jennifer Echegini, who joined the French side earlier this year.

Ajibade’s journey began at Robo Queens in Lagos, where she established herself as one of N

igeria’s brightest young players.

Her standout 2017 season, in which she scored eight goals to help her team avoid relegation, earned her the league’s Player of the Season award.

A move to Europe followed in 2018 when she joined Avaldsnes IL in Norway, scoring 12 times in 39 matches before Atletico secured her signature in 2020.

On the international stage, Ajibade has played at every level for Nigeria, captaining the U-17s at the 2016 World Cup before progressing to the U-20s and senior team. She won the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in 2018, finished top scorer in 2022, and last month led the Super Falcons to their 10th continental crown, where she was named Player of the Tournament.

Ajibade has made 38 appearances for Nigeria, scoring 20 goals.
