Consequence appeared on Hot 97 and blasted Pusha T over remarks made about his cousin Kanye West.
Cons highlighted a particular incident in which Pusha T stated, “I don’t respect Kanye as a man,” a comment made during a performance with his brother Malice as the Clipse. Consequence argued that this soundbite, rather than the Clipse album release, became the focal point of the summer within the hip-hop community.
Consequence read out text messages exchanged between Ye and Pusha T following the release of Pusha’s diss track directed at Drake, “The Story of Adidon.”
Within these messages, Ye expressed his upset over the fallout, stating that Pusha’s actions had caused harm to both himself and his family. Kanye’s message emphasized the need for “accountability.”

“In the diss record to Drake, you still not 100 percent in the right with me even though he should not have spoke on your wife. You not perfect either. The record still caused me mental harm, so that meant when you shot, you hit me and my family also. We have to protect my brain at all cost, because I have the vision. It’s accountability, you not wrong but you not 100 percent right either,” Ye’s text allegedly read.
Pusha allegedly replied: “Yeah I agree, I’m not perfect… I never learned how to turn the other cheek when disrespected. It’s how I was raised. Martin Luther King wasn’t respected in my house either. Hurting you or your family wasn’t my intention. Protecting my family and the brand was the only mission. Sorry for any trauma caused by me.”
Consequence says the apology is evidence of inconsistency in Pusha T’s public stance and he questioned the sincerity of Pusha’s narrative.
