WATCH THE VIDEO HERE The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has released the names and photographs of seven inmates who escaped from the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Ilesa, Osun State. The inmates fled the facility on Tuesday morning after the centre’s structure collapsed due to heavy rainfall. In a statement released on Wednesday, the NCoS announced a N5 million cash reward for any individual who provides credible information leading to the recapture of the escapees. “In order to encourage public participation, the Nigerian Correctional Service wishes to inform the general public that a cash reward of N5 million is being offered to anyone who provides useful information that leads to the recapture of the fleeing inmates from the Medium Custodial Centre, Ilesha, Osun state,” the statement reads. The NCoS urged the public to report any information to the nearest security agency, assuring that all tips will be treated with “utmost confidentiality and anonymity.” The escapees have been identified as: John Micheal (34) Tobi Akin (19) Eze Nweze (40) Ninalowo Yusuf (28) Matthew Ogunjimi (20) Kabiru Oyedun (39) Olalekan Ajofoyinbo (45) According to NCoS records, Micheal, Ajofoyinbo, and Nweze face charges of armed robbery. Akin and Ogunjimi were being held for illegal possession of firearms and armed robbery. Oyedun was charged with murder, while Yusuf faced charges of “breaking and stealing.”
