Lamidi was arraigned before Justice O.A. Adetujoye on Tuesday on Offences bordering on robbery, murder, attempted murder, and possession of firearms, specifically AK 47, assault rifle, and 2 SMG with magazines.

The offences are punishable under section 1(2)(a) and (b) of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provision) Act CAP RIL Vok 14 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria.

It was added that the offences were committed on the 29th Day of May 2023 at about 2 PM at Governor Seyi Makinde’s residence, Ikolaba, Ibadan.

The State Counsel, S.A Osuolale,(SAN) hinted that he would call 19 witnesses to prove all the allegations levelled against the defendant (Lamidi) in the case

However, Counsel to the defendant, Tope Olayinka informed the court of the present health status of his client

He, thereby, urged the court to take cognizance of his health status in treating the case.

But the state counsel faulted his claim as he argued that the Counsel to Auxiliary is not a medical doctor and could not have ascertain the health and medical status of Auxiliary.

Meanwhile, Justice Adetujoye has adjourned the matter till November 4, 2024 for accelerated hearing as well ordered the Prosecution (State Counsel) to assemble all his witnesses in court on the said date.
