A Federal High Court in Abuja has scheduled September 18, 2024, to deliver its judgment on a suit seeking the removal of Abdullahi Ganduje as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The North Central APC Forum, led by Saleh Zazzaga, filed the suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/599/2024, challenging Ganduje’s eligibility to occupy the position, saying he is not from a state in the North Central geo-political zone.

The plaintiffs through their lawyer, Benjamin Davou, argued that Ganduje’s continued occupation of the office is illegal and violates the party’s zoning arrangement.

They also argued that Ganduje’s appointment “contravenes Article 31.5(1) of the APC constitution and ultra views the powers of the NEC of the party” among other reliefs sought.

Justice Inyang Ekwo adjourned the case until September 18 for judgment.
