There have been talks that Rafiu Durosinmi will leave Viktoria Plzen for a few months….

Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi has gone on strike at Czech Republic club Viktoria Plzen to try to force a move to Belgian Jupiler Pro League club, Soccernet.ng reports.

Over the last few months, Durosinmi has been linked with multiple clubs in Europe. The links have come as the Nigerian striker has produced some impressive performances for Viktoria Plzen, contributing 26 goals and 10 assists in 66 appearances.

Eintracht Frankfurt, Lazio, Wolves, and Wolves have emerged as potential destinations, but nothing concrete has happened yet, as none of them made a bid for the 22-year-old striker in the just-concluded summer transfer window.

However, Durosinmi has admirers from elsewhere. This is as Rudy Galetti reports that Genk want to sign the young Nigerian striker.

They reportedly sent Viktoria Plzen a bid for Durosinmi, but the Czech giants rejected the offer as they deemed it insufficient.

Like Rafiu Durosinmi, Like Alexander Isak

According to Rudy Galetti, Rafiu Durosinmi is pushing for the move, and has even gone on strike.

This has been theme of the 2025 transfer window, as other forwards like Alexander Isak, Yoanne Wissa, and Viktor Gyokeres all burnt bridges with their former clubs to force their desired transfers.

Durosinmi has now employed that tactic in a bid to force Viktoria Plzen to sell him before the Belgian transfer market closes on September 8.

How Much Is Rafiu Durosinmi Worth?

Rafiu Durosinmi is valued at €7 million on Transfermarkt. But he has one year left on his contract.

Viktoria Plzen want him to sign a contract extension. But if he doesn’t, they might be forced to sell him for a reduced price this summer or in the January winter transfer window.

However, if he pens an extension, Viktoria Plzen will have an extra leverage and could demand a higher fee for the Nigerian striker.
