SUPERSTAR Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have announced their engagement.

Rodríguez took to Instagram to show off her enormous diamond ring, confirming the engagement.

The 40-year-old Ronaldo, one of the most recognizable sportsmen in the world, finally popped the question after nine years together, following months of engagement speculation.

Confirming their engagement, the Argentine-Spanish model, 31, wrote: “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.”

Up until now, Georgina has worn a different diamond ring, but the couple were understood to have not been engaged during this time.

Fans have speculated the pair got engaged last month after the model shared pictures of a bridal-themed dinner, complete with ‘D heart G’ pillows, a six-piece band and stunning white flower arrangements.
She also wore a giant sparkler on her wedding ring finger, hinting at the pair’s secret engagement.

Georgina and Ronaldo’s celebrity friends congratulated the pair on their engagement in the comments.

Lauren Sanchez Bezos commented: “So happy for you. ❤️”, and fellow WAG Taylor Ward wrote: “Amazing, congratulations ❤️❤️”.

Charlotte Tilbury wrote: “Darling, what fabulous news!!! Sending you both heartfelt congratulations and so much LOVE!!”

Piers Morgan penned: “Wonderful news! Many congrats to you both.”

Only last month, Ronaldo shared the brutal reason behind why they aren’t married.

He said on Netflix: “I always tell her, ‘when we get that click.’ Like everything with our life, and she knows what I’m talking about.

“It could be in a year or it could be in six months or it could be in a month. I’m 1000% sure that it’ll happen.”

The couple have been in a relationship since 2016 and have daughters Alana, seven, and two-year-old Bella together.

She is also the stepmother of his other three children.

Ronaldo is the best paid footballer in the world with annual earnings of up to €200m at Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr.

He has played for some of the world’s biggest clubs, including Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, and won the UEFA Champions League and domestic titles numerous times as well as five Ballon d’Ors.
