A group of angry Nigerians confronted a police officer over alleged theft.
A video circulating online shows the confrontation taking place along a busy road. The video shows a crowd gathered round the officer, while cars try to pass through the narrow, busy road amid the confrontation.
The officer had been beaten mercilessly and was bleeding from his temple and lips.
“Ole,” the Yoruba word for thief, was screamed at the police officer by the crowd
The officer is seen begging. Other uniformed personnel are seen pleading with the crowd as the confrontation unfolds.
