CSCS Pushes NASD OTC Exchange Higher by 0.52%

The price appreciation recorded by the Central Securities Clearing Systems (CSCS) Plc further moved the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange forward by 0.52 per cent on Tuesday, November 4.

The Nigerian depository company gained N2.28 during the trading session to close at N44.58 per share compared with the N42.30 per share it ended a day earlier, lifting the market capitalisation of the platform higher by N11.40 billion to N2.183 trillion from the N2.172 trillion quoted at the preceding session, as the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) went up by 19.05 points to 3,649.72 points from the previous day’s 3,630.67 points. 

Data showed that the volume of securities recorded by investors yesterday increased by 82.3 per cent to 393,086 units from the previous 215,660 units, as the number of deals rose by 27.3 per cent to 14 deals from 11 deals, while the value of securities went down by 2.5 per cent to N16.4 million from N16.5 million. 

The activity chart on a year-today basis remained unchanged as Infrastructure Credit Guarantee Company (InfraCredit) Plc was the most traded stock by value with 5.8 billion units valued at N16.4 billion, trailed by Okitipupa Plc with 170.3 million units transacted for N8.0 billion, and Air Liquide Plc with 507.4 million units worth N4.2 billion. 

By volume, InfraCredit Plc was still the most active with 5.8 billion units sold for N16.4 billion, followed by Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc with 1.2 billion units traded for N419.7 million, and Impresit Bakolori Plc with 536.9 million units valued at N524.8 million.
