Kano State is getting ready to host Cycling Kano 2025 this December, and the excitement is already building. The big event, happening on Saturday, December 20, will bring together cyclists, fitness lovers, and fun seekers from across the country.
The race will kick off from the Sani Abacha Stadium and will feature a mini tour of Kano, competitive races, fun family rides, cultural shows, and even an exhibition of local products.
It is being put together by the Kano State Government in partnership with BrandEscort Communications. It was designed to promote health, tourism, and showcase the beauty of the ancient city.
“We recognize the significant benefits of this event, which include promoting healthy competition among corporate organizations and young people, discovering and nurturing cycling talent, and elevating the status of cycling as a major sport in Nigeria,” the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Sports Development, Mr Sani Musa Danja, said.
He added that the state was ready to provide full support, from securing the route to making sure logistics are in place.
“With the strong backing of the Kano State Government and our partners, this event is poised to be a powerful statement on the importance of public health and sports development in our state,” he enthused.
