DaBaby is shutting down rumors that he was booked to perform at a MAGA-themed Valentine’s Day event.

The rapper addressed the speculation directly in a post shared on X on Saturday, calling the reports untrue.

“Fake news,” he wrote, adding, “Don’t take the bait!” DaBaby also made it clear that he does not involve himself in politics.

The rumors swirled online after conservative influencer CJ Pearson posted a flyer on Instagram claiming DaBaby would appear at a Valentine’s Day celebration tied to the MAGA movement.

The image quickly spread online and sparked backlash from fans who questioned the rapper’s alleged participation. Shortly after DaBaby spoke out, the flyer disappeared from Pearson’s account.

Pearson has not publicly explained whether ... was meant as a joke or a real announcement.

DaBaby’s denial comes as several hip-hop artists have faced scrutiny over perceived political associations. Snoop Dogg and Nelly were recently criticized for performing at events connected to the Trump administration.

Ludacris also drew backlash when his name briefly appeared on the lineup for Kid Rock’s 2026 Rock the Country tour, which is often described as MAGA adjacent.

“Lines got crossed and he wasn’t supposed to be on there,” a representative for Ludacris later said.
