Dan-Amana Ebira Commiserates with Dan-Dakata Kano over Mother’s Death

The Onizeiza of Ebira, Dan Amana, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Leaside Estate and Property Development Limited, Alh. Dr. Abubakar Imam has commiserated with Alhaji Ibrahim Shehu Yahaya, the Dan-Dakata of Kano and Chairman Arewa Economic Forum, AEF on the passing of his mother, Hajia Fatima Shehu Dan-Dakata, popularly known as Hajia Malama.

In an online conversation with Alh. Dan-Dakata on Sunday morning, Dr. Imam expressed his heartfelt condolence to him and the family, praying that Almighty Allah accepts the soul of her mother in Aljannah.

Hajia Malama who passed away on Saturday August 23 was aged 75.

She was known to have dedicated more than four decades of her life to the propagation of Islam and was widely respected for her community service and religious devotion. She was a founding member of the Kano State Hisbah Board and contributed immensely to its activities since its establishment by the state government in 2000.

Starting as a volunteer, her commitment and dedication earned her a formal role within the board. 

On the loss, the AEF Chairman Ibrahim Shehu Dandakata described his mother as a pillar of faith, discipline, and compassion. “My mother devoted her entire life to serving humanity and upholding Islamic values. Her guidance, prayers, and sacrifices shaped not just our family, but also touched the lives of countless others in the community,” Dandakata to the press.

In addition, he said his mother’s departure marks the end of an era of selfless service and motherly counsel to him, his siblings and the immediate community she served.

“We are happy that she lived a well-fulfilled life into ripe age and in full dedication to Allah and the service of humanity” he added.
