Dangote Truck Fails Brake, Kills Three Lagosians

Dangote Truck has failed brake and killed three Lagosians.

NaijaOnPoint Nigeria reports that the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, has confirmed three persons dead following an accident involving a Dangote truck (numbered DCG-TM-028) and other vehicles.

This Nigeria news platform learnt the Dangote truck experienced a brake failure while descending from Ita-Opo, Epe, leading to the unfortunate incident.

LASTMA General Manager Olalekan Bakare-Oki confirmed the incident in a statement issued on Monday by Taofiq Adebayo, Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of LASTMA.

Bakare-Oki noted that the out-of-control vehicle collided with a tricycle (AGL 442 QC) and a stationary Toyota Camry at the Ayeyoro traffic light before veering into the Ayetoro Market Complex in Epe.

“The unfortunate collision resulted in the fatalities of the tricycle driver and two students from Manpower Technical School. The deceased were respectfully transported to the Epe General Hospital mortuary,” he said.
