A Dangote truck has reportedly been involved in a fatal accident in Enugu State on Wednesday, which resulted in the killing several people.

It was gathered that the incident occurred at Four Corner, along Enugu-Port-Harcourt expressway, in Nkanu West Local Government Area of the state.

Survivors are said to be receiving medical attention at nearby facilities.

Onlookers at scene, in a trending video, were heard lamenting the loss, and also calling on the management of Dangote to adopt measures to curb the rate their vehicles were getting involved in road mishaps.

Naijaonpoint reports that a few weeks ago, a Dangote truck struck Ruth Otabor, sister of Big Brother Naija winner Phyna, in Edo State, resulting in her death.

Also in April 2024, another Dangote truck collided with a Toyota Hiace bus on the Okene-Lokoja highway, killing 19 people.

The repeated occurrence of such accidents has sparked widespread outrage among Nigerians.

In related news, the body of Ruth Otabor has been evacuated by representatives of the Dangote Group after her death on Sunday morning.

Naijaonpoint reports that Ruth, who lived in Edo State, died weeks after she was hit by a truck belonging to the company near Auchi Polytechnic.

The accident, which crushed her leg, had earlier led to an amputation.

She was confirmed dead around 6:30 a.m. on August 31, 2025.

Her family, through their lawyers, announced her passing and requested privacy as they mourn.

They also stated that details of her funeral would be shared later.

Family members told Punch that officials of the Dangote Group were contacted immediately after Ruth’s death, after which they took her remains to a mortuary.

“When she died this morning, the representatives of Dangote Group were contacted and notified. They later came and took the corpse to the mortuary. We are expecting that they take over the expenses of her burial, since they had stepped in to take over her medical expenses,” the source said.

Relatives described Ruth as a lively and caring person who was loved by many.
