Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Adedamola Adefolahan popularly known as Fireboy DML has shared insights into his love life, describing it as chaotic and unpredictable.
Naijaonpoint reports that the Jealous crooner said the messy dating environment in Lagos inspired his hit song, “Ashawo.”
Fireboy explained that the challenges of dating in the city influenced his music and shaped his approach to relationships.
He described his personal experiences as full of ups and downs, saying that he finds balance in romantic connections, especially when under pressure.
He said: “In my song ‘Ashawo’ I was trying to paint a picture of what the dating scene is like in Lagos where I live. It’s a mess.
“My relationship is chaotic. But I thrive with girls. When I’m under pressure, I usually find balance in girls.”
The singer has previously mentioned that going through heartbreaks motivates him to create more authentic music.
His revelation comes few months after he revealed that his heart has never been broken.
The singer said he had planned on opening up himself to experiencing how it feels to get one’s heart broken, but decided against it after doing research with some ladies.
Speaking in a recent episode of the 90s Baby Show, the 29-year-old said experiencing heartbreak at this stage could ruin his life and career.
