Dave Portnoy went in on popular streamer Adin Ross over a touchdown celebration that sparked accusations of antisemitism.
The Barstool Sports founder addressed the situation after Ross allegedly encouraged Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua to perform a gesture that many viewers interpreted as offensive.

The dispute escalated into a heated private text exchange between Dave Portnoy and Adin Ross, both of whom are Jewish.
“I thought the way he set up Puka Nacua, by telling him to do that dance, was a total asshole move by him,” Portnoy reportedly said. “Anybody with a brain knew that would cause a controversy. For what? So Adin could get a couple clicks?”

Ross pushed back in messages, reportedly describing the dance as “a joke” that shouldn’t be taken “too seriously.” Portnoy disagreed, responding, “Yeah telling a dude to do an antisemitic td dance five seconds after 15 people get murdered in Australia surely wouldn’t be taken too seriously.”
He went on to accuse Ross of playing both sides and courting controversy for attention.
Meanwhile, Puka Nacua issued a public apology, saying he had “no idea that this act was antisemitic in nature.”
