David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has accused his babymama, Sophia Momodu of constantly taunting him with the tragic death of his first son, Ifeanyi.

Davido had dragged Momodu to the Lagos State High Court over the custody of their daughter, Aurora Imade Adeleke.

The suit marked LD/1587PMC/2024 and dated April 17, 2024, has Mr David Adedeji Adeleke as applicant, while Ms Sophia Momodu was listed as the sole respondent.

The entertainer, via the suit, urged the court to give an order granting joint custody of Imade.

Davido also urged the court to give an order that will grant him unfettered and unrestricted access to Imade.

In her response, Momodu through her legal representatives, said Davido is unfit to raise their daughter due to his wild lifestyle.

Momodu labelled the singer a “world-acclaimed womaniser” and alleged that his home is an unsafe environment for a young girl, referencing the tragic death of Davido’s son in 2022 as evidence of this claim.

Momodu also revealed that she has “solely shouldered” responsibility for their daughter for the last two years while Davido posts Imade’s pictures on social media to “falsely portray himself as a supportive and active father.”

Momodu claimed that Davido, used their daughter Imade as a pawn to maintain a sexual relationship with her. She alleged that he would withdraw fatherly duties and financial support whenever she attempted to end their liaison.

Reacting to the counter suit on his social media, Davido accused Momodu of taunting him with Ifeanyi’s death at every opportunity.

“Your constantly bringing up the death of my child at any point u can to just remind us of this tragedy that haunts us everyday of our lives .. Imade will grow up to see I fought for her .. as for now u can have her .. P.S she won’t be a child forever .. enjoy ❤️ Imade Aurora Adeleke ! Your father loves you!,” he wrote on X.

In another tweet, the Unavailable crooner said he’s not asking the court to give him his daughter but ‘joint custody’.

”All I asked for was ‘joint custody’ but cus it’s davido yall wanna act like yall can’t read! SMH I’m off this … yall be blessed and I pray this never happens to you,” he tweeted.
