Nigerian singer Ruger has weighed in on the rivalry between Afrobeats stars Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, suggesting they should put aside the rivalry and work together.
Ruger, the Blown Boy boss, believes that a collaboration and joint world tour between the trio could be a groundbreaking moment for not only them but for the Afrobeats genre as a whole.
In a recent episode of Madame Joyce’s ‘Cocktails & Takeaways’ podcast, Ruger explained that he opted to collaborate with BNXN instead of engaging in any ongoing beef.
He said, “I feel like Davido, Wizkid and Burna Boy should do one song and a tour together. They don’t have to do a project. One song and a world tour together. It’s going to be the greatest thing ever.
“Me and BNXN would be co-writers of the song.”
