And he gave fans a surprising bit of news when he revealed that he has been in contact with DC Comics President Jim Lee about completing Englehart and Marshall Rogers’ unfinished Dark Detective saga and publishing the issues of its unfinished sequel.

Per Popverse, Englehart revealed that not only was he discussing plans to publish the unfinished sequel to Batman: Dark Detective, but that he also had plans for another run that would wrap up everything in the Silver St. Cloud saga. While nothing was confirmed, Englehart did confirm he and Lee were at least discussing the possibilities of the Batman sequels.

Keeping the work alive and seeing it through is what DC should have done years ago, and thankfully, it looks like that mistake is finally being corrected.Again, nothing is confirmed. There’s no solicitation or even an artist attached to finish this Dark Detective sequel. But this is the most attention Englehart and Rogers’ lost project has had in years and, hopefully, it will actually make it to publication. There’s no better way to honor Marshall Rogers than by publishing the final Batman story he worked on.
