A judge has denied DDG’s request for a domestic violence restraining order against actress and singer Halle Bailey, the mother of his 17-month-old son, Halo.
DDG had filed a petition in court earlier this week claiming Bailey posed a risk to their child and asked that she be barred from taking Halo out of the country ahead of her planned trip to Italy.
In court documents, DDG alleged Bailey had made repeated threats of self-harm and posed an “imminent emotional and psychological risk” to their son.
Bailey responded with her own motion asking the court to reject DDG’s request and grant her permission to travel internationally with their son for work-related purposes. She is also seeking a separate order requesting that DDG, along with his family and associates, be banned from posting about her, Halo, or the legal proceedings on social media or other public platforms.
According to TMZ, the judge sided with the Disney star, granting her the right to travel with Halo and denying DDG’s request for a restraining order.
However, DDG’s attorney later issued a statement, claiming the restraining order had been granted but that the custody arrangements had not changed. Social media question how this makes any difference, considering Bailey’s restraining order is still in place.
Bailey was previously awarded temporary legal and physical custody of Halo in May, following her claims that DDG had subjected her to emotional and physical abuse.
DDG has denied the allegations.
