Delta Traditional Medicine Board Hails Decision Of HRM Asagba Prof Azinge Ban On Ezenwanyis In Asaba

Chief Ogbogodo Ogumu and HON CHI MARINE TEMPLE OFIAAFULUAGU 1 , the leadership of the traditional medicine board and his executives paid a courtesy visit to HRM Asagba Prof Epiphany Azinge.

Chief Ogbogodo congratulated his majesty on his ascension to the throne of his forbearers and also expressed faith in his Leadership qualities that he would lead Asaba to greatness.

He told his majesty that the board has observed with concern the proliferation native doctors in Asaba and more concerning is a group of women called Ezenwanyis

To regulates proliferation the board have taken measures to curtail these activities

1) Revalidation of the annual operational license of practitioners. It involves the profiling and documentation of practitioners

2) A task force have been set up to invade the nook and crannies of the the community to flush out fake practitioners.

They promised his majesty to work assiduously to clamp down on native doctors who are involved in rituals and kidnappings. The body also stood with his majesty on the ban on ezenwanyis in Asaba.

They noted with great concern the killing of the Anambra law maker and its association with Asaba and assured his majesty of sanctifying their practice and purging out those that have crossed over, in order to exist peacefully in Asaba.

HRM thanked the group for coming.

He listed the decisions of Asaba concerning the activities of native doctors and asked them to lead in the fight against those that have desecrated their practice due to the influx from Anambra.
