Former Super Eagles and Borussia Dortmund midfielder, Sunday Ogochukwu Oliseh, has weighed in the trendy debate about who’s the better striker between Alexander Isak and Erling Haaland, Soccernet.ng reports.

The pair are vital players for their club side. They boast a vibrant goalscoring record in the English Premier League and beyond.

While Haaland can boast two Premier League golden boots, Isak has none. However, the duo are in a heated race for the prestigious award this season.

Although they’re very good strikers, they carry slightly different traits. While Haaland is a fox in the box and a physical beast, Isak’s presence on the ball carries more threat, and he can play on the flank and through the centre, showcasing his versatility.

Oliseh weighed in on the discussion and revealed the conversation of whom the better striker is, is largely subjective.

“Depends on the kind of football you want to play or club that you are! Isak, in my opinion, is a more complete all-around striker, as he is constantly in movement on the whole width of the pitch, has exceptional first touch, is great in 1 v1’s and brings his complete team into the game and that football intelligence. Well, you got it, I overwhelmingly prefer Isak, but then, what do I know right?” the former Juventus man posted on his X page.

Isak’s Newcastle United are currently are currently 6th on the English Premier League table, level on points with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City who are in 5th place, with the same goal difference as Eddie Howe’s side.
