The Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has endorsed President Bola Tinubu for re-election in the 2027 elections.

The decision was reached at the APC stakeholders’ meeting in Kano on Thursday, which was attended by several party stalwarts, including the immediate past National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje.

Addressing newsmen at the end of their meeting, the APC chieftains commended the massive infrastructure development, human empowerment programmes and economic reforms under the renewed hope agenda of President Tinubu.

They also declared support for Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

As earlier reported by Naijaonpoint, the meeting had in attendance several party stalwarts, including Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, Senator Kawu Sumaila, members of the House of Representatives, as well as both former and current political officeholders.

Meanwhile, the Senator representing Enugu East Senatorial District, Kelvin Chukwu, has dumped the Labour Party for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Naijaonpoint reports that Senator Chukwu announced his decision to leave the party during a town hall meeting in Amuri Community, Nkanu West Local Government Area, citing the prolonged crisis and factionalisation within the party.

According to him, the internal wrangling had made it difficult for members to function effectively.

Chukwu also appreciated his constituents’ support since his election and assured them of continued service.
