President Bola Tinubu on Monday received Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, at the State House in Abuja.

Tinubu stated that his administration’s reforms are aimed at equipping Nigerian youths with the globally competitive skills they need to secure their future.

“Our goal is to use education to drive down poverty,” he said.

According to a statement by the Presidential Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu also noted that Nigeria would be participating in the G-20 meetings this week.

“It is the third time Africa is hosting the G-20, and the central issue is our youth. We need to strengthen the economy for them. The reforms are about growth and prosperity for the nation,” he said.

Responding, Prince Edward praised the reforms introduced under Tinubu’s administration and confirmed that the upcoming ceremonies in Lagos would honour young Nigerians who are “pursuing their passions, developing relevant skills, and contributing to the nation’s growth and development.”
