Diddy Extorted Cassie’s Mom: She Paid Him $20K To Stop S*xtape

In bombshell testimony this week, Regina Ventura, the mother of singer and model Cassie Ventura, revealed the terrifying lengths her family went to in order to protect their daughter from Sean “Diddy” Combs—a man whose billion-dollar empire allegedly hid a disturbing pattern of control and abuse.

According to Regina, in December 2011, her daughter Cassie sent her an email—written under the alias “Veronica Bang”—claiming that Diddy had threatened to release explicit sex tapes and orchestrate physical harm to her and rapper Scott Mescudi (Kid Cudi), with whom she was romantically involved at the time.

“He said he was going to release two sex tapes of me. One on Christmas Day, maybe before or right after,” the email read. “He also said he would have someone hurt me and Scott… but it wouldn’t be by his hands—he said he’d be out of the country when it happened.”

Regina testified that she felt “physically sick” after reading the message and feared for her daughter’s life. But it didn’t end there.

Just days later, the music mogul—a billionaire with vast wealth and power—contacted the Ventura family directly, demanding $20,000 in what Regina described as an extortionate “repayment” for money he allegedly spent on Cassie.

Let that sink in: a man worth hundreds of millions at the time—now reported to be worth over $1 billion—allegedly demanded a working-class family come up with $20,000 or risk retaliation.

Terrified and desperate, Regina and her husband took out a home equity loan, draining their savings to get the money. “That was the only way we could get it,” she testified.

Diddy’s bookkeeper then sent over official wiring instructions, and Regina followed through—sending money directly to a Bad Boy business account. Though the funds were returned four or five days later, Regina says there was no explanation or follow-up, only a lingering sense of fear and confusion.

“I did it because I was scared for my daughter’s safety,” she said.

Adding to the emotional weight of the testimony, the jury was also shown photos of Cassie taken by her mother at their Connecticut home in 2011. The images reportedly show Cassie bruised and shaken after an alleged physical assault by Diddy. Regina said she took the photos to “memorialize” what happened, after Cassie disclosed that she had been beaten.

Regina also described a 2016 incident where she called police after Diddy allegedly stole Cassie’s phone during a bitter argument. “I was yelling, screaming, trying to hit him,” she testified. “One of his security guards was standing between us.”

A billionaire music mogul allegedly leveraged his power, money, and fear to intimidate a working-class family into silence. And now, in federal court, that family is finally speaking out.

As the trial continues, the stark contrast between wealth and vulnerability, power and fear, grows clearer—and more disturbing.
