Sean “Diddy” Combs filed a motion this week to have one of the sex trafficking charges against him dismissed… accusing the prosecution of targeting him because of the color of his skin.

Diddy was hit with federal racketeering and sex trafficking charges last year but he says that the charges against him have “racist origins” and that his alleged hiring of sex workers is “widely accepted.”

“The use of escorts, male or female, is common and indeed widely accepted in American culture today,” his attorneys wrote in the filing.

“Mr. Combs has been singled out because he is a powerful Black man, and he is being prosecuted for conduct that regularly goes unpunished,” the filing continued.

His attorneys argued that the 1910 Mann Act, which was passed in at the time amid fears of “white slavery” and that the law was used to “target Black men and supposedly protect White women from them.”

Diddy’s attorneys say that no white man has been treated the same way that he has.

“This case is unprecedented in many ways, but perhaps most notably, and most disturbingly, no White person has ever been the target of a remotely similar prosecution,” they added.
