Diddy’s Attorney to Request Home Confinement Sentence

MTO Square

The legal team for Sean “Diddy” Combs may be preparing to ask the judge presiding over the case to consider sentencing the disgraced music mogul to home confinement.

Marc Agnifilo said that it is “possible” that the request will be made as they feel Diddy needs serious help.

“I am certainly going to be asking the judge, as a condition of his supervised release that he have appropriate counseling and therapy,” Diddy’s lead attorney told TMZ. “I think he needs it, I think he thinks he needs it.”

Diddy, 55, was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and is facing up to 20 years in prison. He will be sentenced on October 3 and will receive 10 months’ time served for any sentence handed down by the judge.

He is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he has remained since his arrest in September 2024.

“He has therapists that we have basically lined up for him from the outside,” said Agnifilo. “The MDC is very strong in certain areas … one of the areas it’s not so strong in, it does not have meaningful programming, so that is not really available to him on the inside.”

Agnifilo says Diddy is working very hard on therapy behind bars.

“I’m certainly going to be asking the judge, as a condition of his supervised release, that he have the appropriate counseling and therapy. I think he needs it. I think he thinks he needs it, and that’s the important part,” he added.
