Gina Huynh, the ex-girlfriend of Sean “Diddy” Combs who previously accused the music mogul of abuse, has written a letter to the judge overseeing his case, pleading for his release from prison.

Huynh had been expected to testify for the prosecution, initially identified only as “Victim-3.” However, prosecutors later told the court they had lost contact with Huynh and her attorney while she was under subpoena, adding that “she may not show up.”

Huynh never took the stand.

“I am writing because I do not view Mr. Combs as a danger to me or to the community,” Huynh wrote in her letter, which has now been filed as part of the defense’s latest court submission. She continued, noting that Combs “has not been violent for many years” and “has been committed to being a father first.”

The letter was submitted as an exhibit in the defense’s motion replying to prosecutors’ efforts to block Combs’ release on bail ahead of his sentencing, scheduled for October 3.

Last month, a jury convicted Combs on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution but acquitted him on the more serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.
