Sean “Diddy” Combs may be behind bars, but questions about his finances are creating fresh tension on the outside.
Several people connected to the music mogul claim payments have stalled while he serves time in federal prison.
Sources with direct knowledge say Diddy’s wealth is currently overseen by Tri Star Sports & Entertainment, which has tightened oversight of spending during his incarceration. According to those sources, some employees and attorneys tied to the disgraced music mogul’s growing list of civil cases have gone unpaid, leading at least one staffer to walk away.
A representative for Diddy disputes that account.
“People, personnel, and attorneys are all being paid, and no one is leaving,” spokesperson Juda Engelmayer said per TMZ. Asked about timing, Engelmayer added, “Sean Combs controls his own finances. Everyone gets paid for their work once it’s completed and confirmed, after routine review.”
That review process has reportedly extended to Diddy’s own family. Sources say relatives operate within a fixed budget and must submit invoices for approval if expenses exceed it. One example cited was a family dinner in New York City ahead of Diddy’s sentencing. The bill was initially declined before being reimbursed.
Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix following convictions on two Mann Act violations.
