DJ Akademiks is denying claims that he is responsible for spreading rumors online about Kai Cenat’s breakup with longtime girlfriend Gabrielle “Gigi” Alayah.
Cenat announced the split himself, posting a message on social media that immediately went viral.
“I’m single I will never be in another relationship again,” Kai Cenat wrote, with ... racking up tens of millions of views within days.
One widely shared rumor suggested that Alayah had cheated on Cenat with NBA YoungBoy, and the rumor further alleged that it originated from DJ Akademiks during a livestream.

Akademiks quickly shut that down. In a clip circulated online, he called the story “fake” and said the account spreading it “just created this.” He went on to defend himself more forcefully, adding, “I don’t lie about a motherf ing thing. If I said that, I’d stand on it and show proof.”
He continued, “I didn’t say that because I don’t know what’s going on,” he said. “I’m just here to clear my name.”
Despite distancing himself from the rumor, Akademiks expressed sympathy for both Cenat and Gabrielle Alayah.
Alayah has denied the cheating allegations via her social media.
