DJ Akademiks is sounding off after learning that Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sons Christian and Justin Combs are planning to release their own documentary on Zeus.
“Do I got to read the room and say, ‘Who asked for this?’” he said. Akademiks added that he wasn’t trying to pile on, but argued the move could reopen a public relations mess. “Sometimes you got to go with the art of let’s wait some time and let people forget,” he said.
Akademiks also pointed out the platform choice, calling it “the same place as Baddies where they be doing the fighting,” before urging the family to back away from filming altogether. “Somebody got to tell him, yo, delete the footage,” he said. “If I’m them, I would want the cameras off. I want the footage deleted.”
During his commentary, he referenced past moments involving Diddy and a long-running culture of keeping cameras rolling, including never-before-seen footage featured in 50 Cent’s new Netflix documentary. Sean Combs: The Reckoning. “Rule number one of reality TV, keep the cameras rolling,” Akademiks recalled. “We got all types of new technology to revive people these days.”
“Cameras have been the downfall for the Diddy Boys,” he said.
