In a Facebook video on January 24, 2026, Dokubo clarified, “I have nothing against Tompolo, and I’m not envious of what he does.” He stressed their differing approaches stem from personal conviction, not conflict.
Dokubo urged against fueling division among Niger Delta leaders, warning it weakens regional unity. He emphasized leadership isn’t about contracts or popularity but about principled advocacy for the people. Calling for mutual respect, Dokubo insisted that tolerance of diverse strategies will better serve the Niger Delta’s development and justice.
