“Don’t let anybody pressure or bully you” – Actress Lizzy Jay sends message to slim women following fight with troll

Nollywood actress and comedienne Adeyela Adebola, popularly known as Lizzy Jay, has sent a message to slim women.

Taking to her Instagram page, she asked if slim or dry women have seen the rate at which people use Monjaro and Ozempic just to get slim. She questioned if they had seen the rate at which people drink different mixtures just to get slim.

The comic movie star admonished them not to allow anyone to pressure or bully them over their shape.

“Dear Slim women, or “Dry” or whatever the society choose to call you, have you seen the rate at which people use Monjaro (or is it Kilimanjaro, you people call it) and Ozempic, to get slim? Have you seen the rate at which people drink all sorts of mixtures to get slim? Don’t let anybody pressure you o, most importantly, don’t let anybody bully you, oloriburuku ni opolopo ninu won.

This message is coming hours after Lizzy clashed with a troll who body-shamed her. Kemi Filani reported that a trolled had called the comedienne dry, and she had fired back body shaming the troll over her arms, lap and facial expression. She admonished other trolls not to come to her page, thinking they could troll her when they looked like rejected sacrifices.

Sometimes back, the Yoruba actress, in an Instagram post, had slammed a troll who attacked celebrities for influencing the youths into undergoing liposuction. She stated that not all celebrities should be blamed for this, as she noted how Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham are making impacts without altering their shapes.

Back in 2022, Lizzy had cried for help over a spiritual issue she claimed to have with eating. The entertainer lamented her inability to eat, saying that normally, she eats a lot, however, for some days, she could not eat, as she lacked the appetite. Lizzy pleaded with anyone who she might have offended to please forgive her and release her.

In other news, the comedienne had tendered an apology to a die-hard fan she treated unkindly. She revealed that she was at an outing with her sisters when a staunch fan offered to pay for their food and drinks, and she didn’t remember to appreciate him or her for the sweet gesture. Giving excuses for her behaviour, she appreciated the fan.
