Nigerian comedian cum actor, Woli Arole, has critized the trend of ‘woke’ women opting for surrogacy despite not having any fertility issue.

Naijaonpoint reports that the issue of surrogacy became a discussion online after popular media personality, Ife, in a video via her Instagram page, announced that she is having her babies through surrogacy.

Ife clarified that she does not have any medical condition, but would not want to go through the stress of pregnancy.

Amidst the controversy online, Wori Alore, in a post on his Instagram page on Tuesday, said it is a blessing for a woman to carry her baby in her womb, stressing God has ordained it.

However, women with certain medical conditions can adopt options like surrogacy, IVF and many other ways of having a baby.

The comedian urged people not to let ‘wokeness’ derail them with claims of not wanting to alter their bodies.

He wrote, “Listen carefully. It is a blessing for a Woman to carry her baby in her womb. That’s how God wants it. Don’t let wokeness derail you. Unless for medical reasons, she can adopt options like Surrogacy, IVF and all.

“You can’t say my body, my decision. I don’t feel like carrying a child. I want surrogacy. No!! Your body is God’s Temple!!.

“Don’t let wokeness derail you. Your body is God’s temple. Surrogacy is not something you just choose!! There’s a reason God gave you a Womb”.
