Saudi giants Al Hilal are on the verge of completing a stunning double swoop for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen and Inter Milan head coach Simone Inzaghi, footynaija.com understands.

According to reports in Italy as per Fotospor, Osimhen’s long-awaited move will be finalised this week, with the Super Eagles forward set to join the Riyadh-based club after an extraordinary season at Galatasaray.

The 26-year-old scored 37 goals across all competitions, including 26 in the Turkish Super League, where he finished as top scorer.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray from Napoli, is expected to cost Al Hilal €120 million, to be paid over a three-year period. His explosive campaign has reportedly caught the attention of several European clubs, but it appears Saudi Arabia will be his next destination.

Meanwhile, Al Hilal are also preparing to appoint Simone Inzaghi as their new head coach.

The Italian tactician, who guided Inter to a second Champions League final defeat — this time against PSG — has been in talks with Al Hilal through intermediaries for several weeks. His current contract with Inter runs until 2026, but salary demands and requests for greater investment in the squad have reportedly stalled any extension.

Inzaghi currently earns €5 million annually and has won one Serie A title, two Coppa Italia trophies, and three Supercoppa Italiana titles with Inter since 2021.

Inter, in the event of his departure, are reportedly considering Okan Buruk as a potential replacement. Buruk, who previously played for Inter and is close friends with club legends Javier Zanetti and Francesco Toldo, has enjoyed immense success with Galatasaray, winning three consecutive league titles.

However, his sights may be set on equalling Fatih Terim’s record of four Super Lig titles and achieving European success, despite interest from Roma, Juventus, and AC Milan.
