Dr. Umar Johnson has revealed that his bank accounts are still frozen and that the bank is giving him the “runaround.”
Johnson says that he will be hiring attorneys to deal with the matter, as his personal account and his school account have been withheld. According to Johnson, the bank should have given him a refund check so that he could set up another account somewhere else, but they have not, and they will give him an update on Friday.
Last week, Johnson made headlines after he hopped online to ask for donations.
“For my loyal supporters out there, if you can spare a few dollars, so I can take care of Queen Mother Ifantunde and myself, until my bank account is frozen or cancelled so I can get my money back and open up a new account, please hit my Apple Pay or hit my PayPal,” he said in the video.

His plea was discussed on the Joe Budden Podcast, where some of the cast, including Budden, mocked Johnson for not having his money distributed over several accounts. Budden urged Johnson to return to the platform to answer some “tough questions.”
