Drake’s Australia & New Zealand Tour Officially Canceled

Drake has announced that his Australia and New Zealand tour, previously postponed, has now been officially canceled, and he will not be returning Down South.

The Anita Max Win Tour kicked off in February when he performed in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. After announcing a brief postponement, the Canadian rapper was due to return to continue shows in Auckland, Brisbane, and Sydney, but due to scheduling issues, he will not be fulfilling those commitments.

The Anita Max Win Tour pulls its name straight from a viral moment on Drizzy’s Kick livestream back in December 2023, where he introduced fans to a new alter ego: Anita Max Win. The moniker is a tongue-in-cheek twist on the casino phrase “I need a max win,” referencing the jackpot slang for hitting the highest payout on a slot machine.

“Live Nation Australia regrets to inform you that the previously postponed Drake shows in Australia and New Zealand have now been officially cancelled. Despite extensive efforts to find a solution, rescheduling within the necessary timeframe was not possible. Drake remains committed to returning and performing these shows when his schedule permits,” Live Nation announced.

“All purchases for the cancelled shows will receive a refund. Please check your email for information regarding the refund process.”
