As the Super Bowl halftime show approaches, hip-hop fans are wondering whether Kendrick Lamar will take his ongoing feud with Drake to the global stage—and possibly publicly defame him in front of millions. However, behind the scenes, sources close to Drake and his family say the situation has escalated far beyond rap beef, with real-world consequences that have left his loved ones in danger.

Media Take Out spoke exclusively with multiple people in Drake’s inner circle, and they revealed that the rapper and his family have been targets of extreme harassment and threats from obsessed Kendrick Lamar fans.

Drake’s Lawsuit Against Universal Music

As Media Take Out previously reported, Drake has filed a defamation and harassment lawsuit against Universal Music, claiming that the company was responsible for not only publishing Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us” but also exposing Drake’s home address.

The lawsuit alleges that Universal not only promoted the diss track but also shared an image of Drake’s residence, which many believe was a not-so-subtle invitation for fans to harass him at home.

As a result of the exposure of Drake’s home address, there have been multiple break-ins at his property, and in a terrifying escalation, Drake’s home was even shot up—leaving one man critically injured.

Drake’s Team Warns the NFL: “There Will Be Hell to Pay”

With the Super Bowl halftime show looming, there are concerns that Universal Music and Kendrick Lamar could use the massive platform to further escalate the situation. If “Not Like Us” or any other direct attack on Drake is played, the consequences could be unpredictable—both legally and in real-world retaliation.

The OVO insider issued a strong warning to the NFL, making it clear that if anything happens to Drake or his family, there will be serious repercussions:

“If the NFL is dumb enough to play into this bulls***, and anything happens to anyone in Drake’s family, there will be hell to pay.”*

Final Thoughts: Super Bowl or Super War?

What started as a lyrical back-and-forth between two of hip-hop’s biggest stars has spiraled into a real-life security crisis. With Drake’s lawsuit against Universal Music still pending and his team openly voicing concerns for his family’s safety, the situation is no longer just about rap beef—it’s about survival.

With millions watching, all eyes will be on Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl performance—but the bigger question is whether this feud has gone too far.

Media Take Out spoke with two people who work inside the National Football League and both confirmed that Kendrick has been asked NOT to perform any lyrics from Not Like Us.
