Nigerian street singer Portable is making headlines following a viral video of him at a police station.
Kemi Filani reported that the controversial singer was allegedly arrested by his actress babymama, Ashabi. In a clip that made rounds online, Portable was captured trying to escape as a group of people held tightly to him.
In a new video making rounds on the micro-blogging platform, Twitter now known as X, the street singer was captured on a sit with handcuffs as he wept uncontrollably, pretending that his mother was sick.

Just a day ago, Portable had dragged Ashabi for allegedly taking him to court. He noted that he hadn’t married Ashabi legally and was baffled as to why she was taking him to court. Calling her a shameless woman, the street singer noted how she got pregnant with a married man and wanted to wreck his marriage.
Kemi Filani reported on New Year that Portable and Ashabi had engaged in a heated argument, as Ashabi told the singer to kill her.
In an Instagram video, Portable claimed that Ashabi came to his house to attack his family. He claimed that his pregnant wife was beaten mercilessly, and guns were pointed at his children. He further claimed Ashabi’s mother accused him of using charm on her daughter and questioned why he didn’t buy a car for her.
Speaking up for herself, the upcoming actress explained that when she and her siblings went to celebrate the New Year with him, he pushed her and slapped her. She alleged that he brought out an axe and forcefully took all their phones, gave her younger brother a blow in his eye, and slapped her younger sister, which left her seeking safety in his office.
In another post, the mother of two had addressed critics, telling them to leave singe, Portable. She told them to allow her to breathe and reduce their advice, and further told them to let her be and allow her to think for herself.
The relationship between Portable and Ashabi has been tumultuous over the past two years, since they went public with their love amid the singer’s marriage, however, the lovebirds continue to settle their fights and stick together. We wonder if this time they are done for good.
