Super Eagles defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel, is set to leave Fenerbahçe at the end of the season after failing to receive a contract extension from the Turkish giants, Soccernet.ng reports.
Osayi-Samuel, who joined Fenerbahçe from Queens Park Rangers in 2021, has become one of the most consistent. However, there has been no agreement between his camp and Fenerbahce over a contract renewal.
Earlier reports suggested that the Nigerian international demanded €2.5 million annually to remain at the club, however Nigerian broadcast journalist, Buchi Laba, clarified that Osayi-Samuel made no such demand.
“He waited for a contract extension offer from Fenerbahçe but received none. He never demanded anything from the club. Report about him asking for €2.5 million annual pay were false. Some board members leaked those lies to journalists.” Laba wrote.
European Offers on the Table for Osayi Samuel
With his contract expiring at the end of the year, the 27-year-old has already received offers from European clubs.
The Nigerian defender has turned down at least two proposals from Turkish sides, which suggests a clear intention to continue his career outside of Turkey.

The End of the Road with Fenerbahçe?
Despite his strong performances, Osayi-Samuel’s chapter in Istanbul appears to be closing. Having hoped to continue with Fenerbahçe, the lack of engagement from the club’s management left him with little choice but to explore new opportunities abroad.
Now, as interest builds from England, France, and Germany, the Super Eagles star looks set for a significant move this summer — with his departure from Fenerbahçe confirmed unless there’s a last-minute twist.
