It is Lookman’s 10th Serie A goal of the campaign and the third consecutive season he has scored ten or more league goals for Atalanta. Overall, in his Serie A career, he has appeared 80 times in the competition, with 34 goals and 18 assists.

Germany

In the Bundesliga, Kevin Akpoguma impressed in defence while Gift Orban watched from the bench as Hoffenheim arrested their poor form with a 3-1 win at Holstein Kiel.

Victor Boniface was missing in action while Nathan Tella featured from the start as Bayer Leverkusen kept up their title challenge with a convincing 3 – 1 victory against Borussia M’gladbach.

France

Hamzat Ojediran was a second-half substitute for Lens in their tough 2-1 Ligue 1 defeat against PSG.

In the Première Ligue, Chiamaka Nnadozie kept another clean sheet as Paris FC recorded their biggest win of the year with a 6-0 triumph over Guingamp.

In the National 1 Mathias Oyewusi struck his 7th league goal of the season from the penalty spot as Valenciennes came back from a goal deficit to clinch a 2-1 win at Nancy.

Brazil

In the Paranaense 1, Orlu-born Arinze Udeh was among the goals for Cianorte as they thrashed Independente FSJ 5-1 inside the Estádio Municipal Cilmar Pedro Goergen in Paraná.

Cianorte are the only team to have won their first three games of the season in the division.

Belgium Raphael Onyedika was among the best players on the pitch as Club Brugge cruised to an entertaining 4-2 win over visiting Beerschot in the First Division A.

Tolu Arokodare was a second-half substitute as Genk fought out a tough 2-1 away win against Mechelen to stay one point ahead of Club Brugge in the title race.

Egypt

Sadiq Awujoola delivered a man-of-the-match performance to inspire Pyramids to a commanding 6-0 win over Mali’s Djoliba in the final group game of the CAF Champions League.

Awujoola netted a goal and registered an assist as Pyramids finished second in Group D behind ES Tunis on head-to-head.

Saudi Arabia

In the Women’s Premier League, Ashleigh Plumptre scored her first league goal of the season but it ended as mere consolation as Al Ittihad fell to a 2-4 home defeat at the hands of Al Ahli.

Turkey

Olanrewaju Kayode enjoyed a brilliant debut for Esenler Erokspor as he netted the only goal in the 1-0 win over Adanaspor in the 1 Lig.

The win, Erokspor’s first in five games, catapults the club out of the relegation zone and into 14th place on the 20-team table.
