Ecobank has assured customers of uninterrupted Digital Banking Services During Christmas and Year-End Holidays.

NaijaOnPoint Nigeria reports that Ecobank Nigeria has assured its customers of seamless and uninterrupted access to banking services throughout the Christmas and year-end holiday period, while urging heightened vigilance against fraud and digital scams common during the festive season.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the bank said its secure digital platforms would remain fully operational to support customers’ financial needs despite possible adjustments to physical branch working hours during public holidays.

Victor Yalokwu, Head of Products & Analytics, Consumer & Commercial Banking at Ecobank Nigeria, said customers can continue to transact conveniently using the Ecobank Mobile App, Ecobank Business App, USSD *326#, Ecobank Online, OmniPlus, Omnilite, EcobankPay, RapidTransfer, Ecobank Cards, ATMs, PoS terminals, and over 35,000 Ecobank Xpress Point agent locations nationwide.

According to him, the platforms will enable customers to carry out local and international transfers, pay bills, purchase airtime, make merchant payments, check balances, download account statements, and perform cardless cash withdrawals at ATMs throughout the festive period.

“Ecobank encourages customers to take advantage of these digital solutions for safe, fast, and efficient banking, especially during the festive season when convenience and reliability are essential,” Yalokwu said. “While physical branches may operate on adjusted schedules, our digital channels are designed to deliver uninterrupted service and enhanced security at all times.”

He reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, wishing customers a joyful festive season and a prosperous New Year.

Yalokwu also warned customers to be alert to fraud and cybercrime, noting that scammers often exploit increased online shopping, travel, and year-end activities. He advised customers to shop only on trusted websites, avoid sharing PINs, passwords, or one-time passwords (OTPs), refrain from banking on public Wi-Fi networks, be cautious of urgent or emotionally charged messages, and regularly monitor their account activities.

Ecobank Nigeria is a member of the Ecobank Group, Africa’s leading pan-African banking institution with operations in 33 African countries and international offices in London, Paris, Beijing, and Dubai. The bank operates over 220 branches, more than 36,000 agency banking locations, and multiple digital platforms, providing accessible and affordable banking services while supporting pan-African trade under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
